Introduction:
For the users of the 3-system landscape offered by SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, SAP for Me not only enables you to provision various tenants but also empowers you to request a branch which copies business configurations from your main line to a new parallel line. For this, you need to follow a few simple steps to create a service request in SAP for Me, and you’ll be able to consume the parallel line. Prerequisites for a Service Request:
Before requesting a branch, it’s imperative to run prerequisite checks to ensure that your main line is ready for the branch, which consists of the following:
You can raise a service request by following the below-mentioned steps:
1. Log on to SAP for Me using S-User Administrator credentials.

2. Navigate to the “Service Request” dashboard under the “Private Cloud Workspace”, where you need to click on “Create Service Request”, which will take you to the “Service Catalogue” dashboard.

3. You can search for “Parallel Line: Check Prerequisites”, to display the service.

4. When you click on the service, you will get to a new page where you can choose “Add Service”.

5. After choosing “Add Service”, you are redirected to the page where you can select the customizing tenant for which you want to run the prerequisites check.

6. A pop-up is displayed where you can select your customizing tenant:

7. Once you’ve selected the tenant, the “Edit Parameter” button is enabled.

8. After you’ve clicked on the “Edit Parameter” button, you can select the confirmation check box and choose “Check & Set” button.

9. Now you can click on the “Submit” button and a new service request will be generated.

10. When you click on the “Parallel Line: Check Prerequisites” tile, you’ll get to the service information page, where you can switch to the “Communication” tab to see the updated service request.

11. If all the prerequisites are met and there’s no open action item, you will receive a notification email in your inbox and the service request will be updated in SAP for Me.

If any of the prerequisites are not met, then the service request will be cancelled and you will be notified via email accordingly:
a. If there are unreleased transport requests of type CBC or BC in the customizing tenant:

b. If all the transport requests are released from the customizing tenant but not imported into the test tenant:

c. If the workspace is not in the “Product-Specific Configuration” phase in CBC, that means, not all milestones have been marked as completed:

Branch Service Request:
After the prerequisites service request has been completed successfully, you can create a new service request to initiate the branch by following the below-mentioned steps:
1. Steps 1-5 remain the same, but you now need to search for the service catalogue “Parallel Line: Branch”:

2. You will then be navigated to the customizing tenant selection, after which you can edit the parameter and click on the “Check & Set” button.

3. You can now see the “Schedule” tile, where you need to select a free execution slot from the search box. You then need to choose OK and then click on the “Check and Set” button for the selected schedule.

4. On the final page, you need to click on “Submit”. With this action, a service request will be generated, and you will be navigated to the home screen, where you can check the “Communication” tab for any further responses from the SAP team.

5. Once the branch is done, you will receive a notification and a handover email with the new system details and the service request will be updated accordingly.
