With the "Rise with SAP" strategy, SAP has extended the offering for SAP S/4HANA Cloud and added a new deployment model: SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition.
This product combines advantages of the cloud with the ability to move to cloud using a system conversion. Additionally it gives the customer more flexibility and options when it comes to extensibility: In-App extensibility with key user tools is available, as well as "classic" ABAP extensibility.
For ABAP Add-Ons delivered by 3rd party companies or partners of SAP, it's highly recommended, that customers only deploy certified ABAP Add-On solutions. However, usage of certified solutions is not required.
