With SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2402.3, it is possible to create preconfigured bundle and add them to solution orders. After you have entered a product as a bundle item, the system creates subitems of the bundle item according to the BOM (bill of material) of the product. You can release a bundle item to trigger the creation of follow-up transactions and documents for all its subitems.
If you need to report on the profitability of solution bundle, you can make the bundle product available in profitability reports like solution order margin and margin analysis. This can be done with the use of custom fields and Manage Substitution/Validation Rules - Journal Entries app.
You could create a custom field for the bundle product using Custom Fields app. This field should be created for the market segment of journal entries. Enable the field to be visible for the apps like Solution Order Margins, Margin Analysis. Use the Manage Substitution/Validation Rules - Journal Entries app to fill the custom field with the value of the bundle product. When the journal entry is written during any process for any document created out of solution order, the bundle product is retrieved, written into the custom field and stored with that journal entry. So, you would have the information of the bundle product stored with the journal entry. This could be picked up for any reporting using journal entries.
If there is a need to drill down to the profitability of a bundle item in a certain solution order (a solution order may contain multiple bundles), then the bundle item number can also be stored as a custom field in the market segment of the journal entries and filled up using the Manage Substitution/Validation Rules - Journal Entries app.
The bundle product and bundle item number are available as in the parent association(_ParentServiceDocItem_2) of the solution order item to be selected when you set up the rule and select the source field to be copied. This is shown in the pictures below. The field names are Product and ServiceDocumentItem respectively.

With this you should be able to view the profitability for a solution bundle product and for a certain solution bundle sold with a certain solution order.
