Solution Business Management in SAP S/4HANA Cloud enables you to sell bundled solutions combining products, services, subscriptions, long-term services, and projects to become a one-stopshop to solve complete customer problems [Ref : Selling Business Outcomes with Bundled Solutions].
As part of this scenario, it can make sense to create a single invoice per solution order.
In previous releases, it was not possible to converge billing data from customer projects (that are part of the same solution order) into a combined invoice with billing data from other documents that are also part of the solution order, such as service orders, service contract, and so on. [Ref: One Invoice Per Solution Order]. Customer projects had to be invoiced separately.
As of SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2408, you can use billing type CBD2 to combine all billing-relevant follow-on documents of a solution order into a single invoice. Refer to note 3413050 for an example of how to create combined invoice of the solution order document.
