Situation handling framework has notification function to enable the system to send a job log once the job run is completed in the notification area on the SAP Fiori launchpad and email.
To integrate with situation handling, Treasury and Risk Management provides the following:
- Situation Template: FIN_TRM_REQUEST_MARKET_DATA
- Standard Team Category: FSCM_TRM
Here are the steps to start the configuration of Situation Template: Market Data Request to receive notifications about this job.
Step 1: Start with creating Teams and Responsibilities.
- Open App 'Manage Teams and Responsibilities' (F2412).
- Choose Create.
- In the General Information enter the data:
Name: ex Z_TEST_MD_01
Type: STRM_MD
Description: Test description for situation handling
Status: Enable - In the Team members section press 'Create' and maintain:
Business Partner: Choose the users to get the notification in F4 help.
Functions: STRM_MD_AD. - Choose Save
Step 2: Enable Situation Types
- Open App 'Manage Situation Types - Extended' (F5437).
- Click the Create button to select ‘Create Situation Type’.
- On the Create New Situation Type screen enter:
ID: Test_TRM_MD_ST01
Name: Market Data Request
Description: Market Data Request notification
Situation Scenario: FIN_TRM_MD_REQUEST_MSG_MONITOR
Situation Template: FIN_TRM_REQUEST_MARKET_DATA
Press Create button. - On the Header Information for Situation types:
Status: Enabled
In the Recipients > Responsibility by Teams > Team Category: 'FSCM_TRM' - Filter by Member Function: Administration Employee for Market Data.
- In the Message-Based Triggers section, check the following data is in assigned:
Item 1 : Market Data Request Failed
Item 2 : Market Data Request Successful
Item 3 : Market Data Req. Successful with Warning - Select items from the Message-Based Triggers section and navigate to the Situation Display to insert variables for detailed notifications and emails. Ensure default Situation Texts are assigned
- Choose Create.
Step 3: User Setting for Notification
- Log on to the SAP Fiori launchpad.
- Open profile of the logged-on user in the right corner
- Choose Notifications in Settings.
- On the Notifications screen, specify the following and select Save
Email: select
High Priority: check
Enable: Enabled
Step 4: Schedule a Background Job to Trigger the Notifications
- Use App Schedule Treasury Back Office Jobs (F2771).
- Schedule the job template 'Request Current Market Data'.
Step 5: Check the Notification in Fiori Launchpad and E-Mail.
