Introduction

In addition to the event-triggered WIP and variance settlement, a manual settlement option is introduced for event-based production orders, process orders, and product cost collectors.

The manual settlement option is applicable if, for example, you want to reduce large volume of settlement documents, the orders are with short lifecycle thus WIP analysis is not needed at all, or the logistic business events don't always follow the normal operation sequence.

Prerequisite

Before you can use this new feature, the necessary review or change should be done in SSCUI 103940 for event-based processing key ORDMS (Manufacturing Order Manual Settlement) or PCCMS (Product Cost Collector Manual Settlement).

The following preset is delivered by default, and the part marked in red rectangle is changeable according to your requirement, for example: in variance calculation part, variance split can be set as No which means all the variance categories will not be considered during posting; In settlement receivers part, Cost center/WBS Element/Order can be selected as Posting Not Allowed and it takes effect after you make the change.

Production orders must be created via scope Make-to-Stock Production - Discrete Manufacturing (BJ5) with the RA key ORDMS (manual settlement) instead of RSEBW (event-based default). You can replace the RA key with ORDMS during production order creation.

Alternatively, if you always want to settle manually, you can update the RA key from RSEBW to ORDMS in the order type config via SSCUI 102431.

This step is required only if you map the RA key ORDMS- Manufacturing Order Manual Settlement or PCCMS- Product Cost Collector Manual Settlement in the order type.

Scenario

Let’s take order 1000640 as example, which uses Settled Manually.
