S/4HANA 4 years of innovation

The stack has consolidated without middleware

Real time analytics and inventory

Technology produces a lot of data

Segment of one

Will process more transactions than we ever have in ERP

Need a high degree of automation

Change the way the user interacts with the system

Next release will be the fifth release

The road map is 100 pages

The gist, overarching themes in the system

Going into an intelligent ERP

Will depend on a high degree of automation

Start at lowest levels with robotics; go beyond with machine learning, then about redesign processes due to automation

What does automation due to the end user? User will change; will go into a process of analytics, exception management

RPA - SAP released RPA - Intelligent RPA, start using intelligent technologies to overcome typos

Not work with the screens

RPA spans beyond SAP; automate end to end process

Use machine learning - tries to use intelligent technologies to make sense of data that is not ready for processing otherwise

Working on scenario - unstructured data to transaction - sales orders come in by PDF; analyze data by PDF and out of that comes a sales order

In house procurement - being built - take a picture of equipment, and do an in house procurement based on that picture

Source: SAP

What do to address end user?

Exception management - situation handling - create programs to bring attention to end user

In middle, pyramid approach, enter solution at top level (Fiori apps) and bring in embedded analytics - overview pages, analysis path frameworks, then navigate to the transactions - new way of working - still find ways things to work on

User experience - speech interaction with co-pilot, modern interaction with technologies

Finance strategy from traditional process where work is in operations, S/4HANA has no reconciliation with analytics, some tasks are obsolete

Increase real time insights

One step further with predictive algorithms to go into a predictive finance

Going away from clerical finance to analytical

Andrea - unfortunately I do not have the slides.  I can try to ask.  Usually SAP does not want ASUG to post road map slides.  I will try
