Adding a Field in KE24 Report.

KE24 is a transaction code used for Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).

CO-PA is a submodule of SAP Controlling (CO) that allows companies to analyze their profitability by various dimensions such as products, customers, regions, and more.

The KE24 transaction specifically is used for displaying line items in Profitability Analysis.

Key Features of KE24 in CO-PA:

1. Profitability Analysis Line Items: KE24 is used to display individual line items in the CO-PA module. These line items are detailed records of profitability-relevant transactions.
2. Data Analysis: It provides detailed information on revenue, costs, and profitability for various market segments, which is crucial for decision-making and strategic planning.
3. Reporting: KE24 helps in generating reports that provide insights into the profitability of different dimensions, helping management make informed business decisions.

There are certain times during which Business would require more details based on different standard Fields.

The below are the configuration nodes and steps which allow the Field to be added under KE24.

You have to create a Characteristic to have the field enabled, as I need Region field to be enabled I have added entry WWREG which denotes REGION of a Business Partner.

Once added Save it.

Now go to Operating Concern 

Now in Edit Mode -> Follow the below Steps.

1. Make Sure it’s in Edit/Change Status
2. The Characteristic added will be available in this section.
3. Click the Arrow to move to Data Structure.
4. Once to Data Structure, you should see the details.
5. Activate

Now Once Activated You Can Go back to the earlier Screen to Save

But over here you will be given a Prompt to activate the structure and generate Operating Concern. Hit ‘Yes”

Once Generated you will get a Message saying it’s not yet generated and will ask to check on the Extras tab.

Click on Action Log à Program FCO_ADD_COPA_FIELD_TO_ACDOCA needs to be run in background to generate the structures in ACDOCA

**please note that the system in use is S4HANA

Once the Program is executed you should see it is successful.

Congratulations your field is now activated and added to the structure.

Now, for Field Values are to be derived, it requires KEDR configurations.

This purely is on the requirement you get from the Client on which basis values need to be populated.
