Starting this discussion thread - to share learnings, observations from today's Sapphire - ASUG 2023 - Pre Con session - SAP Enterprise Architecture Update – Resources, Tools, and Frameworks, for Digital Transformation -
Inviting those who were able to attend today's (5/15/2023) session to share their insights for broader EA Group.
All the presenters were from SAP
Jason Porterfield started the session with focus on Enterprise Architects and their roles - Provided insights on how/what CEOs and CIOs look at Enterprise Architects.
Martin Mysyk touched on overall scope of the session - lay of the land for the sessions -
Peter Keller provided the latest updates on Signavio - Process Explorer Capability Model to Business Process Model - how EAs can take advantage of the output with live demo of the solution
SAP team members also shared customer use case on how the Business Process mapping drove the digital transformation and BTP session covered App Dev, Integration, Data and Analytics with lively discussions
Martin shared the capabilities that are already out there with respect to Sustainability reporting
Also SAP Team took general questions on topics covered

We had exact conversation during the session - TOGAF certification vs SAP EA certification - It was mentioned during the session that TOGAF is the basis and its good to have that as the core building block to EA knowledge. SAP EA course and cert has its own unique flavor and advantage.
