The “Ultimate Enterprise Architect SAP Community Meetup“ at SAP’s North American Headquarters in Newtown Square, PA on October 5th. This was one of your last meetups for North American in 2023 and the only one that was a full day event.
This meeting was not just a chance to get together with Enterprise Architects in the Pennsylvania and surrounding area but to get plugged into the global SAP Community Enterprise Architecture Group.
We had close to 200 attendees register for this full day of knowledge sharing, discussion, idea exchange, and networking.
We brought together a “Rock Star” lineup of SAP Experts who will shared their insights with attendees and there was a “Enterprise Architect Expert Genius Bar” for attendees to get their questions answered.
Check out our event agenda as a reminder of what we covered as well as links to access the SAP expert presentations from this event.
I have added some bonus features that were discussed at the event with that you will also find in this blog post two bonus presentations and videos related to AI and material from a deep dive masterclass on "The Evolution of Application Lifecycle Management".

Business processes are a combination of people, tools, and data. A primary role of company management is the management of business processes; more specifically, the design and monitoring of processes capable of achieving company performance objectives.
The SAP Signavio Transformation Suite was introduced in early 2021 and took a giant leap forward with the acquisition of Signavio, an end-to-end solution for business process management. Signavio process manager is complemented by Signavio process mining and SAP Process Insights for process analysis and tailored improvement recommendations.
SAP Signavio is designed for all SAP customers regardless of size and industry.
In this session, SAP will provide a business-oriented overview of Signavio capabilities with emphasis on Continuous Improvement and ERP implementation.
Speaker: Jack Moloney, SAP

Simplifying your Data Readiness and Move to SAP S/4HANA, Cloud and AI
Abstract:
DATA? Have you ever heard stories about DATA being an often "forgotten" or complex and daunting task for SAP S/4HANA and Cloud migrations? Plus post migration the fundamental questions centers around data quality, reliability, accuracy, and ease of access - and any AI project amplifies those needs!
Traditionally these projects require a lot of manual resources (error-prone and extremely time consuming), and rely on tools with too many limitations.
DMI’s Jivs IMP platform is significantly simplifying your path to S/4 Hana, the Cloud and AI. Based on over 27 years of experience with data (starting with R/2) Jivs radically new approach reduces the cost and time needed for these projects by over 50%. Jivs accomplishes this by separating operational data and master data (~10%) from historical data (~90%). The historical data are then stored on a very cost effective Jivs server (on-prem or cloud, 80% cost reduction) with integrated access from SAP. And the operational data are being cleansed, converted and then migrated via the SAP Migration Cockpit (the only SAP certified approach). Downtime challenges, time consuming extra test cycles and large data quality projects are a thing of the past, and so are pre-projects for BP and GL.
Speaker: Thomas Iseler, Data Migration International
