Devtoberfest 2024 Week 2 Contest Activities

Please note that while we are publishing contest activities on Friday, September 27th; many badge assignments won't be active in the system until Monday, September 30th.  If you happen to complete a contest activity before the badge is active, that's OK. You'll still get credit for it. It just won't show up in your gameboard totals until the new badges are activated and assigned.

Welcome to Devtoberfest 2024! We are back again this year with 4 weeks of fun and learning! Starting on September 23rd you can take part in the Devtoberfest contest (CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES HERE) and collect points for tutorials, quizzes and live sessions! Collect as many points as possible until the 25th of October and qualify for prizes such a trip to next year's SAP TechEd in person experience! The table below shows you the points you can earn in the second week of Devtoberfest! Every week we will post an update with the new activities that will get you points in the contest! Each activity will earn you a badge applied to your SAP Community ID and points that you can track on the “for fun only” Devtoberfest Gameboard. The scavenger hunt is also back this year! Feedback on "Create an ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) View in SAP BTP, ABAP Environment" Tutorial

I wanted to give a quick heads up to those working on the tutorial “Create an ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) View in SAP BTP, ABAP Environment”. I encountered a small issue with the code in STEP 9 and made some adjustments to resolve it.

I wanted to give a quick heads up to those working on the tutorial "Enhance an ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) View in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) ABAP Enviro.... I found some inconsistencies in STEP 7, but I managed to resolve the issues in my code.

@Priya_2811 - what do you mean points are not getting updated?  Points are based upon the badges so of course if the badge isn't assigned you don't have points for those missing badges yet.  But are you saying there's something beyond the missing badges?

My score has been updated, but it appears that the 1000 points from Technoberfest haven’t been added yet. Currently, my total for Week 1 and Week 2 is (29620/30620). I’ve already shared a photo of my workstation in the Technoberfest forum, so I would appreciate it if you could add those points.

@vishalakshmi The Techtoberfest points/badge, like Petoberfest before it, has to be assigned manually.  All the fun friday activities are that way.  So it will be early next week before those are assigned.

I’m excited to share that after completing the activities for Week 1(14650) and Week 2 (15970), I achieved a 100% score (30620/30620) on the scoreboard and reached Level 4!

I’m thrilled about this accomplishment. I dedicated extra time beyond my office hours and learned so much from each tutorial, which will greatly enhance my ability to support my clients and advance my career.

I’m eagerly looking forward to the next contest (Week 3) to continue learning.
