Understanding AWS VMs available for SAP

I was looking at SD benchmarks to understand capabilities of AWS VMs. I was a little confused since SD Benchmark lists r4.16x VM CPU as (2 x Intel Xeon Processor E5-2686 v42.3 GHz, 36 cores, 72 threads) while the AWS instance types page lists the VM as 64 vCPUs (Hyperthreads). The memory listed is also off as the SD benchmark lists it as 512GB RAM while AWS lists it as 488GB RAM.

Can someone help me with this discrepancy? A followup question is that since an AWS VM doesn't list server cores, how does SAP SD benchmark list the hardware server cores/threads in the listing?

Thanks for your help

I think the "CPU 2 x Intel Xeon Processor E5-2686 v4 2.3 GHz, 36 cores, 72 threads" refers to the physical CPU. The r4.large is also using Intel Xeon E5-2686 but only 2 vCPU. The r4.16xlarge is using the Intel Xeon E5-2686 but 64 vCPU.
