Hi,
We have an issue where transport number is not visible in the version management after import.
Here is the scenarios. We have two instance of ECC development system with same SID (i.e. DEV). One of the development instance in an actual development system, while other one (with same SDI) is an temporary instance. Temporary instance was created for some internal project requirement. We were doing all development work in temporary development instance past few weeks and now would like to move all those changes to actual development instance via transport created in for these changes.
When we manually add the transport created in temporary development instance to the in STMS of actual development instance and import them manually, we are able to import the changes, transport log shows up fine and objects are getting updated as well. But we do not see transport number under version management of an object. We found a parameter to be set in STMS profile (VERS_AT_IMP = ALWAYS) so that new version is created for each imported transport, but that is not working as well.
Has anyone faced such issue before and was able to resolve it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Pratik

Hello Vijaya,
If your case is similar to the one in original query then you may export the version tables from one system and import it to another by following the SAP note: 130906 - How can versions be transported?
Hope this helps.
