restore of master data and transactional data only

Hello Expert,

I have a request to do a restore of master data and transactional data only on one of the client on my DEV system. Please is possible? If yes can some one share the steps to do that for me to learn.Thanks.

Hi kannydan,

Unfortunately its not possible to restore only 1 client in SAP system.
Lets a take an example of HANA database here, when you want to recover your database there are 3 ways
1) Most recent State: Recovering DB to time as close as possible to current time
2) Point in time: Recovering to a specific point in time
3) Specific data/Log files: Providing a specific data, log backups

In all these cases entire system will be recovered not a single client. To manage single client its always good to perform client copy with a specific profile.
For e.g. Profile: SAP_UCUS - Client-dependent Customizing, including authorization profiles are copied with master data.

Thanks for your quick respond but let me rephrase my question what the request said to do a refresh to overwrite transactional Data only on client 160 on DEV system is this achievable? if yes how do i go about it. Thanks

There is no way you can refresh only transnational data. Best way is to do client copy or DB export import.

You can perform the client copy export/ import method from on dev to target system.
