Operating system call connect failed (error no. 115 )

I am seeing this entry in SM21 for workprocess IC. I looked in SMICM trace file and see errors for connection to a decommissioned server related to a content repository. I removed related entries from OAC3 but the errors still occur. How can I resolve these errors? I think it may be related to CCMS.

I am using ERP 6 EHP 7.

Hi Jerry Kidd,

Based on my experience in the system log with regards to the Operating system call connect failed (error no. 115 ), I would like to ask you for checking the following KBAs:

3005300 - NiBufIConnect: connection pending after 5000ms when the job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP run in background
2582112 - ERROR => NiBufIConnect: non-buffered connect pending after <timeout >ms
2727608 - Obsolete repository in KPRo

Best Regards.

Thank you for your reply.

I checked the notes you cited. None of them apply. The IP address in the error message refers to an obsolete content repository. Do I need to delete the repository?

Hi Jerry.

There are known obsolete repositories that were delivered by SAP as per the KBA 2727608. The SAP Notes 2482869 and 2526279 can be implemented. This will automatically delete the obsolete repositories.

Otherwise, you can check the KBA 2832081 and deactivate the KProWebServer.

Hello Jerry,

Yes, you should delete the obsolete content repository from transaction OAC0.
