[Intro] This is the SAP Developer News for October 30th, 2025.

[Antonio & Javier] Hola, SAP Developers. We just wrapped up Devtoberfest last week, but I know that many of you are still trying to catch up with all the great content that's part of Devtoberfest. Well, my friend Javier here developed a very nice tool called Devtoberfest Digest that can help you with this. Javier, can you share with us a bit about what Devtoberfest Digest is and what was your motivation to develop it? Hello, this is Javier Martin from the BTP solution advisory team in Spain. And well, the Devtoberfest Digest is an AI-powered solution that kind of watches all the sessions that you deliver on the event and magically extracts the relevant information from the different videos so you can get the key points and relevant data for your interests. Perfect. And what was your motivation to develop it? Well, my motivation, yeah, let's say that I heard that there was some new MCP servers that was already released, like the CAP and the Fiori MCP servers, so I wanted to test them out. And, well, I was kind of struggling with time, right, to follow all the great sessions, so just the idea came really quickly. Fantastic. And what are some of the technologies that power Devtoberfest Digest? So for the backend, I use CAP, a cloud application programming model. There is Fiori as well for the frontend, HANA Cloud for persistence. And I'm also using the orchestration service from the generative failure hub for LLM access. Nice. And where is it that everyone can access this tool? Yeah, so the tool is already developed on the BTP. We already created a short URL for you guys to consume it and well, I hope you find it useful. I'm sure I will find it useful because there are many sessions that I still need to catch up. Definitely. So thank you very much for sharing this with the community and I hope you all enjoy it. Thank you. Ciao.

[DJ] Here is a shout out to all you lovely content collaborators. During Devtoberfest, we had a couple of great sessions on documentation and documentation contributions. René and Mahadi gave us a great overview of the CAP documentation and explained the different ways you can get involved by sharing feedback or contributing content. Gopal talked about enterprise-grade capabilities for CAP apps with information based upon the SAP BTP Developers Guide, which is also open for collaboration as well. Don't forget that the Open Documentation Initiative is still very much alive and well, with plenty of documentation sets. In fact, there's been a recent edition of the Runtime Comparison Guide, and there are also still contribution badges to be earned, as well as just cool points from having your GitHub avatar listed in the repo. Alternatively, you can also just leave a question or comment directly on the relevant page in the SAP Help Portal if you wish—the choice is yours. By the way, talking of the SAP BTP Developers Guide, this has had some updates and improvements recently. There's a new strengths and benefits section for all major runtimes, there's a new security guide with info for all the different relevant aspects or development phases of CAP development. And there's also a new section on developing software-as-a-service offerings, especially interesting, I suppose, for SAP partners and other software vendors. Anyway, have a look at the documentation and get involved.

[Tom] You might have noticed that the SAP Developer News was a little lighter this week. Well, that's probably because next week is SAP TechEd. And of course, who would have news about a new release or a new feature coming out just the week before TechEd? Of course, we're going to have tons of news from SAP TechEd virtual and Berlin and TechEd on tour. So be on the lookout for special episodes of the SAP Developer News next week, live from Berlin. We will bring you all the updates and announcements from the event. But speaking of SAP TechEd, we also have the Community Voice. And this is a new offering, kind of a monthly newsletter format to keep you abreast of all things that are going on in the SAP community. This month, they have a lot of information to help you get ready for TechEd and get the most out of it. They also have a wrap-up of Devtoberfest, information about new certifications, blog highlights, all kinds of good content. So be sure to check that out. Make a great thing to read as you're getting ready to travel to SAP TechEd or SAP TechEd on tour. And if you are going to be there in Berlin next week or Sydney or India later in the month, we look forward to seeing you there. So until then, have a great trip and a great TechEd.
