What is it?
The Performance Review service is a fixed-fee, fixed-scope service sold on the SAP store which is delivered over a 3 week timeline. This service offers a review and execution of test plans, an impartial analysis of the customer's solution performance, and assessment reporting of possible risks in the customer's system and how to optimize the solution. An executive brief summarizing findings and recommendations on optimizations are included in the service.
How it's different than the Holiday Season Readiness Program?
Signing up for HSRP is still needed to make sure the resources can be scaled up proactively in anticipation of the holiday season event for the defined dates, however the scaling is done based on SAP’s experience across all customers. The performance review is critical if you, as a customer are looking to run events outside of the defined dates, or if you want to make sure your system is optimized for not only surge events, but even regular/unanticipated business not covered by HSRP.
By simulating traffic at the expected volume directly against your solution, the Service intends to make sure that your solution is optimized and everyone can know exactly what infrastructure level is required.
This can then be provided as part of HSRP, so the infrastructure is scaled correctly. When it is downscaled, the optimizations implemented can still benefit the you, our customer.
