Hi ,
Task versus Activities , what is the difference from a business point of view
Tasks are for more "inside" oriented duties, while activities (appointments, mettings...) are more outside oriented, because you link them with partners. The logic could be somhowe compared also with MS Outlook tasks and appointments.

Hi,
Basically:
Tasks do not have to be link to a BP
Tasks have a due date, but not a due time, so in most cases they will not take time from your agenda.
While Activities (eg Visit)
Must be related to a BP
will have a due date but time as well
Hope it helps,
Rgds,
D.
