Hi Experts,
we just rolled out a new scenario at out customers and are now facing performance issues. If we trigger a search query with a set of criteria. For example CITY and a marketing attribute, this search takes minutes.
I came across the "high speed BP search" which uses the Software agent framework but would like to know if this applicable.
We are not using the Interaction Center so can we use the Software Agent Framework? can we use marketing attributes in this high speed search?
What are alternatives for speeding up the BP search with complex criteria?
Hi Denis,
I am aware of the existence of this Embedded search.
But this search is not based on complex criteria but on a string. It then returns all objects that contain this string.
I am looking for a way to speed up the search based on complex criteria.
For example; search all BP's is Hamburg that have a certain marketing attribute. Or all BP in Stuttgart with a certain relation.
Best regards,
Remko

Hi Remko,
There are a few things you can try to get a bit more clarity on this issue. The performance issue can be at the query, Web UI or the system memory [shared] etc. Hence you might need to investigate them one by one to understand the situation where it is going wrong.
Please try to verify the search response times at GUI / Web UI. You can use GENIL_BOL_BROWSER to measure the times in GUI. This should help in identify if the Web UI requires performance tuning.
Verify the system requirments by reading the below SAP OSS notes; they should possibly provide a resolution.
SAP Note 1281896 - High Memory Consumption and CRM Webclient
SAP Note 1276708 - Use of shared memory in Web UI
SAP Note 1162685 - SAP CRM WebClient Performance
Usually the searches that uses the attribute related search criteria [Org related] takes a bit more time due to complex set of tables it has to query to filter the criteria. Hence you might need to check the DB indices and statics to be up to date.
Hope the above suggestion are helpful. Thanks.
Regards,
Kathirvel
