Hello All,
After going through several blogs on territories I still do not get a clear picture on the "Sales Territories" Facet available in "Accounts". Given below is my understanding
1. "Sales Territories" - Will display all the territories that an account is associated via realignment runs. For example: I have an account "ABC1" - Country as "India" and City as "Bangalore". Then in the "realignment run" If I maintain 2 rules, one for Country "India" and the territory to be associated for the accounts with country "India" as "North" and one more rule for all the accounts with the city as "Bangalore" should have the territory associated as "South" then will it be a case that I will be able to see the territories "North" and "South" under "Sales Territories" Facet of the account "ABC1".
2. what will happen in case if do NOT check the scoping question that says account association to multiple territories? then what data will be available under "Sales Territores" in case if both the rules are executed as said above?
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Skugan
Hi Skugan,
Accounts are assigned to territories via realignment run based on territory rules, taking in consideration the sequence of the rules, so Account will be assigned to the first rule that meetings the defined criteria.
Account - Sales Territory Association Allows your users to assign multiple territories to a single account.
From documentation "If you select No, then only one territory can be assigned to an account, and the territory is automatically selected for opportunities, sales leads, sales quotes, and activities. You cannot use rules during a realignment run involving sales data fields such as Sales Organization, Sales Group, Sales Office, Distribution Channel, Division, and Customer Group, as it may result in multiple territories per account. If you have added any of these fields as columns to the decision table when defining rules for a realignment run, then you must remove them."
Kind Regards,
Voicu
