New java time API as AtomicTypes?

Former Member

Hi there,

I wonder if it is planned to integrate the new java time API types like LocalDate, LocalDateTime and so on as built-in Atomic Types?

If not, would it be possible to do this as customization?

Thanks in advance!

Hi guys,

Unfortunately there is no clear decision yet, so I cannot say "when" and "if".

I can add the LocalTime as the atomic type in 6.4 version but not sure how to impex it. Any ideas?

Are you sure you can use it in 6.4? I am not able to do it...

Is that what you tried:

 <attribute qualifier="dateOfBirth" type="java.time.LocalDate">
     <persistence type="property"/>
 </attribute>

?

Anyway, regarding ImpEx - you can do an export and then see how it looks in an ImpEx.

You have do to define an atomictype like:

 <atomictype class="java.time.LocalDate" extends="java.lang.Object" autocreate="true" generate="false"/>

But I'm still struggling with creatin an SourcingResults atomic type ... order can't be saved ...

Has anybody tried to define java.time types as atomictypes and could share his experience?

Bump! Any update on the subject? It would be really nice if we had support for new classes from java.time API. Not only LocalDateTime and LocalTime, but also Duration would be a nice addition.
