Mix of Test and Productive Jam Feed in C4C

Hi experts,

we have a test C4C integrated with our test Jam and a prod C4C integrated with our prod Jam. However, if I open a new browser with the test C4C I all the time get the productive Jam feed displayed in the feed wc in C4C.

But if I open the test Jam at first and after that the test C4C, I get the test Jam feed correctly displayed in test C4C.

I do not have login data / cache saved in the browser from the prod Jam. Does someone have hints/explanations why it's behaving this way? And how can I change this so that I get the test Jam feed in test C4C all the time...

Thanks and BR,

Deborah

Hi Deborah,

I don't know the exact technical details why this is sometimes happening but usually a couple of things help if I'm not mistaken:
- Using different browsers, ideally one of them being Firefox
- Using incognito mode
- Clearing the cache (which you seem to have done already)

Now, there will be another feature available shortly that will help address this issue, too. Very shortly you will be able to request your own sub-domain for your SAP Jam tenants. So instead of having a URL that is something like jam4.sapjam.com/... you will be able to define it like companyname.sapjam.com and companyname-test.sapjam.com
Obviously you will have to reconfigure your C4C integration if you are requesting this change, but it should prevent your problem from happening if I understood correctly.

Best, Christian

Hi Christian,

thank you for your response. I think the incognito mode will help me in future. Two different browser (IE and Firefox) am I already using. 🙂 But great to hear that SAP is worrying about this problem.

Do you already know when this new feature with company own-subdomains will be released? Does Jam has also a release cycle of 3 months as it is in C4C?

Best. Deborah

As always with functionality coming in the future I can't promise anything and things can always change last minute, but I recommend to look out for the release notes for our 1711 release in the next 2 weeks 😉

Yes, SAP Jam has a quarterly release cadence, too. Preview instances get the 1711 release beginning of November, production instances will get it beginning of December.
