How to edit a newly created assignment block?

I created a new AB and it shows up and saves values input too. However, when I open it up for editing, unlike other ABs, it does not show any buttons for editing. So I can not edit already input values. Any ideas what I am missing here? I created the view as a form type with std buttons. It is in configurable mode too.

Regards,

Amar.

Hi Amar,

yes, you need to code for the edit button. Have a look at the last lines of methode DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT() of class CL_BP_DATA_MARKETINGATTR4_IMPL.

Also check the usage of the VIEW_GROUP_CONTEXT in method EH_ONTOEDIT().

cheers Carsten

Hi,

Did you check if the buttons are getting disabled due to any authority objects? As you did not mention which UI component i was not sure. I dont think if you missing any steps apart from what you have done.

This is an issue across all components. Whenever I create an AB, I dont get it as editable. Should we separately code for the edit button? No It is not about authority objects as I dont see that problem with standard components/views.

Am I missing any config step in the process of creating this view or component? Any ideas folks?
