Adapt UI depending on user role

Hi Experts, 

can i create an UI in dependency of an user role or marketing area? 

For example: Some Users should see more Tabs or Custom Fields in the Contacts-App than others.

Hallo Katharina,

unfortunately this is not possible.
The UI adaptions you do as an admin are reflected for all users.
The authorizations you can configure via business roles are not influencing the UI behaviour. If you provide for example the marketing area for Germany, then you would see in the Contacts app only the interaction contacts for Germany (data access), but you can't control fields/tabs/screens with it.

Hi Katharina,

You should check if you have the possibility in adaptation (user interface adaptation app) to define rules and add them in adaptation to a field or tab, to make it visible or not.

I do not have access to a Marketing Cloud tenant at this moment, but i can imagine a rule would look a bit like the ones we define in SAP Sales and Service cloud. When using business roles as a criteria, the rule might look as follows:

MYUSERROLES()=="BUSINESSROLEID"
