Hello All

while maintaing category for a specific activity type say TASK,is it possible to restrict the vaues of those categories at the time of transation processing;

i have created categories like ;Visit,Telephone call,Email,Preparation

Reminder

and now i want to restrict th evalues --Visit,Telephone call,Email to only activity type APPOINTMENT AND NOT FOR TASK and similarly remaining two categories for transaction type only TASK.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHERE CAN I DO THIS IN CUSTOMISING

Hi Phani

You can assign your categories to different transaction types using the path IMG> CRM> Transactions> Settings for Activities> Maintain Categories, Goals, and Priorities--> Assign Categories to Transaction Types.

Here you can assign different categories to differect trans. types

thanks alot for your quick and prompt reply,

my currently working on CRM 4.0 and after checking you answer ,i just checked in CRM2006S and it is there but not in CRM4.0 ;

any ways we are going forf CRM2007 upgrade and i guess it should also have the samesetting as in 2006S ,if so we will do it in our next release ;
