Hello,
please let me know, is it possible to transfer the activities in the lead to the opportunity during the conversion? So the acitivities should be link to the leads and opportunities.
Best regards
Franziska
Hello Franziska,
As far as I know, there is no configuration to transfer the activities from a lead to an opportunity. You could attempt this via sdk code.
However, I'm curious to know why you want these copied over from the lead to the opportunity as that would lead to duplication of activities. Further, in the document flow, you can still see the entire picture Activities linked to lead which is in turn linked to opportunity.
Nonetheless, the only workaround that I can think of for this without sdk code would be to utilize the activity planner and automatically create tasks in the opportunity that are similar to the activities in the lead. The assumption here would be that the type and number of activities on the lead are known in advance and would not change over the lifecycle of the lead. Thus you could setup those number of tasks in the activity plan and set routing rules to assign these to the opportunity.
If this does not suffice, then I' afraid the only option you have is custom code in sdk.

Hi Franziska.
Julius is right. You have to consider SDK to create a link between the Activities in lead and newly created Opportunity. Same set of activities will then have Lead as well as the opportunity as predecessor.
But please evaluate the business scenario as Julius suggested. When you are converting a lead, it means that you have completed all the activities as part of it. Taking the completed activities forward to opportunity will then just be for reference. Document Flow in opportunity will give a holistic picture of the same by standard.
