Hello Experts,

As per the SAP documentation, it is mentioned that the Abandoned CART URL is being passed to SAP Marketing Cloud as a standard.

When i check the standard Iflow - i couldnt find the URL field which is mapped to any of the field in iflow. Can anyone shed sme light which field from Commerce for URL is mapped to SAP Marketing Cloud?

Hi Mayank,

The abandoned cart URL is only supported in the Data Hub integration, not the SAP Cloud Platform Integration (SCPI) via iFlows. In any case, I believe you solved this via custom iFlow.

As for the tracking ID (ymktTrackingId), this is related to e-mail campaign tracking (see https://blogs.sap.com/2016/09/23/how-is-mail-tracking-working-and-how-to-combine-it-with-web-trackin...).

To summarize quickly, when you land on the Commerce site by clicking a link in an e-mail that was sent by Marketing as part of a campaign, a tracking ID is embedded in the URL via a parameter named 'sap-outbound-ID' (also 'soid').

When we send an order/saved cart/abandoned cart to Marketing, we set the interaction's ContactId to the tracking ID, and ContactIdOrigin to SAP_TRACKING_ID, and Marketing is then able to associate the interaction with the given campaign.

Chris

christos.nikolakakis : Thanks for your feedback. But i am still unable to understand few things.

If i ran a campaign having a append outbound id, then the id generated here will be unique per Account? if yes then how it is linked to the campaign when an interaction from the same url is coming into Marketing?

In your statement, you provided a comment that when commerce sends an interaction to marketing then the contactid is set to tracking id and contactIdorigin is set to SAP_TRACKING_ID,

With these parameters how the interaction is identified to which campaign it belongs to?

Also i couldnt find these parameters in the iflow, except there is a parameter as ymkttracking id which might be having all these parameters?

I am hard to understand as from the ymkttracking id how can we identify the campaign?

How the URL, the commerce needs to build to provide all the relevant information so that the campaign can be attributed? Is it possible to provide any url coming from Commerce to Marketing to understand the scenario better?

As per the information provided - Generated outbound ID which uniquely identifies the interaction, campaign & contact without disclosing personal data to the outside system.

What is the format of the Outbound id? Is this id is system generated? how can I understand this outbound id. I need to understand this so that i can tell commerce team what needs to provide in ymarketing tracking id. Can i get the sample please?

Regards,

Mayank
