Why am I unable to convert Quotation order type to Order in Web shop in SAP CRM?

Hi Team,

We have a requirement to convert Quotation Order type (ZBAG) which was created in ECC to be converted to Order type (ZB04) in CRM System. But we are unable to convert it and ending up with an error message "The original from the preceding transaction XXXX is not in CRM".

Please help me, how to solve this.

Thanks for your quick response.. As per the note 888665, We have maintained the scenario A for Quotation order type ZBAG in both CRM (SMOFPARSFA ) and ECC (CRMPAROLTP) tables and now we are able to convert quotation to order in CRM and quotation status is getting updated from released to completed in CRM system . But we are facing two issues

1. Quotation status is not getting updated from Released to Completed in ECC system.

2. In ECC system , When we are searching the document flow of our Quotation converted order, we couldn't see the document flow..

Also please find the screenshot and check for the scenario

Our SAP Version is BBPCRM 713 and Note given by you is valid till BBPCRM 712. Please provide required help.

1, scenario in order.

the scenario in crmd_orderadm_h is _BX_.

The last bit stands for replication scenario, _(empty) = standard scenario, A = A scenario.

The second bit stands for original system. Original system means the dominant system for this order. A = CRM; B = ERP.

As the quotation is created in ERP, it is set B during the first time it is replicated to CRM. Please check sap note 541113 -> Standard scenario.

So it is correct you get this error.

Why not use A scenario. With A scenario, order can be created in either crm or erp. Order will be replicated to the other system. The order can be edited in either crm or erp and change is replicated to the other system.

A scenario is quite flexible and no limitation like standard scenario.

I would suggest use A scenario. You may check notes below

889051 - Scenario A: Overview and settings

888665 - Scenario A: Customizing settings

If you have to use standard scenario, you have to change your SOP. You will have to create teh quotation in CRM and then you can convert it.

the error is CRM_COPY 023 The original from the preceding transaction &1 is not in CRM

You might use standard scenario and ZBAG order was ever changed in ERP. So the original system of this quotation order was chagned from crm to erp. thus I1087 was set in CRM preventing change. If it is not changeable, it cannot be converted neither. Thus you will get this error.

Solution might be:

1, create a new quotation order to replace ZBAG, or

2, use scenario A, see note 889051, but existing ZBAG order needs to replaced with new ones, or

3, try to delete I1087 of this ZBAG in crm_jest, if it is still not working, try to change CRMD_ORDERADM_H-SCENARIO's second bit from B to A.

Thanks for your response Liang. Your answer helped us a lot in analyzing the issue.

With the help of your input we have modified the CRM_JEST table and we were able to convert the quotation to order from CRM side successfully. But the thing is that, When we are searching the document flow of our Quotation converted order in ECC, we couldn't see the Quotation as preceding document.

Moreover, We recently upgraded system from 7.0 EHP2 to EHP3 and this functionality was working fine before upgrade but not now.

1, what scenario are you using to replicate the order btw crm and ecc?

2, what is your sales cycle? For example, create quotation in ecc, replicate quotation to crm, create sales order from quotation in crm, replicate this sales order to ecc?

Thanks for your response. Here are the details you requested.

Scenario we are using is BX. Please find the attached screenshot.

Sales Cycle is same as you specified.i.e.,

1.Create quotation in ecc,

2.Replicate quotation to crm,

3.Create sales order from quotation in crm,

4.Replicate this sales order to ecc

Please let me know for any other details required.
