Which is the best way to begin a migration?

Hi everybody,

Which is the best way to begin a migration? You unzip the new Hybris'release. Then you put your media, your config and your specific code or you create new extension and then you put your code into it?

Search for migration here and the internet. Hybrissmart has a topic about it if I recall correctly. Basically its how you describe it: new hy version and ad your existing extensions. The question is if you upgrade directly to your target version or do baby steps. Whatever expect the migration process to be extremely time consud unplanneable

As per the Hybris documentation,

When upgrading a SAP Commerce system, proceed as follows for each extension type: 1. Upgrade all regular extensions (for example solrfacetsearch, backoffice) 2. Do not upgrade template extensions (for example the Accelerator extensions) 3. Reuse custom extensions
