What is the meaning behind non-SL attribute?

Hi there,

we encountered some logs with the following message:

Cannot check modified for non-SL attribute 'attributeName'

So my question is, what the meaning behind this and the wording "non-SL", what is "SL"?

My guess would be this is related to using Service Layer (=SL) vs. Jalo layer.
