What is the best approach to upgrade Hybris from v6.0 v6.6?

Can anyone help me with the best possible approach to upgrade Hybris application running on v6.0 to v6.6?

I have moved the customized custom folder and config folder from 6.0 to 6.6 and resolved the build and server issues. The homepage is now opening in v6.6, but I fear that have lost the new functionalities that Hybris introduced in its 6.6 version.

Please suggest!

As for the things to consider, be advised to pay attention to the changes introduced in release 6.6 as some methods and classes may be deprecated in the newest release and some of your custom extensions might not work. For more info, refer to the following URLs:

As for the best approach please refer to this Experts forum post where both possibilities (step wise & direct upgrade) are being discussed. Significantly, hybris Migration Guide suggests that one performs a step wise upgrade rather than a direct one.
