The importcockpit has been deprecated by not yet de-released (i.e. it is still there in the distribution zip and you can still use it by declaring it into localextensions.xml, rebuilding and performing system update). However, there is a better alternative https://help.hybris.com/6.7.0/hcd/2947ba854b494b14892ce56fa2a75ce2.html and I found it easier than using importcockpit where you have to do mapping and start the job etc. This 'Excel Import/Export' import feature is also in the roadmap of Hybris Commerce (https://wiki.hybris.com/display/general/Roadmap) and one should use it in place of importcockpit.
