What does the HCS in HCS Common mean? In the Commerce Cloud Portal, there is "hcs_common" and "hcs_admin".

The hcs_common service lets you define properties that you can apply to common Platform components.
The hcs_admin service represents Platform operations such as initialization, system updates, or any ant command that performs administrative functions in the platform. Modify this service when you want to apply properties to the administrative operations.

In short what Marcus said; HCS_COMMON applies to all endpoints, HCS_ADMIN only applies to background processing server. IN Short 🙂

HCS stands for Hazard Communication Standard. This standard requires that hazardous material information must be available for employees and people such as emergency response personnel because they have the right to know what kinds of hazards are present and how to then protect themselves. Hazard information should be available through the following means:

• Training
• Visual identifiers such as GHS, pipe, and NFPA labels.
