What does solrstats directory in hybris contain ?

What does solrstats directory in hybris contain ? How are these files generted? Can we remove the files from this folder which are older then 2 years ?

Solrstats directory contains Statistics Collection of solr queries.

The solrfacetsearch extension supports collecting statistical data for queries sent to the Solr server. Then it can be used for further analysis.

Some main configurations from SAP help page:

1. Enable the statistics collection

solrStats.enableCollectingStatistics=true

2. By default, Solr collects statistical data in files located in the following folder:

solrStats.filesLocation=${HYBRIS_LOG_DIR}/solrstats

3. The files holding statistical data are have a prefix as in the example provided below

solrStats.filePrefix=stats.log

4. Files are rolled every single hour, this is configured by the following property

solrStats.dateFormat=yyyy-MM-dd.HH

Also if you have configured cronjob the statistick data can be also stored in DB. For this look at help page above.

About clearing this directory: It's based on business requirements about life period for statistics data. I assume you can remove data which are older then year.
