Hi Community,
i have a question regarding the voucher status in CCO(M). I know in the Help of CCO there a three status defined for Voucher:
The Status indicates whether a gift card has already been redeemed. The following statuses are available:
But what means exactly "in use"? Does it mean the voucher is actual in another different CCO POS added to a receipt? (So that no one can use the same voucher in two cco pos a the same time)
Thank you very much
Best Regard, Daniela

Dear dstrunz,
Let me try to explain how CCO handles gift cards when they are entered simultaneously in two POS stations. So we have POS station 1 and POS station 2, both have items in the shopping basket and both receipts are proceeding to payments.
CCO allows to select the same gift card on both POS stations. It even allows to add this gift card as payment method in the receipt. However, when the receipt + payment is to be finalized, CCO asks the CCO manager if the gift card still has the required balance. And then only the first POS station that finalizes the receipt will be able to do so. The second POS station will run into an error:

Now, I understand that in your use case you want this check to kick in at an earlier point in time, i.e. that it's not possible to add a gift card to the payment items if the gift card is already selected in another receipt. I imagine this can be technically achieved - but it cannot be achieved in the CCO standard. So it would require a plug-in development.
Kind regards,
Gunther

Dear gunther.sandtner2,
thank you very much for you explanation. You know excactly what i meant and tryed to check with the voucher in two different CCO-POS at the same time selected in a receipt.
Does it make sense to open an idea in the CCO portal for this szenario? So that the CCO(M) can extended in a future version for this case?
Kind Regards,
Daniela
Dear dstrunz,
Of course you can enter the use case you would like to have covered in the standard SAP Customer Checkout on the SAP Influence portal (https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/1731). If there is enough interest / demand (votes) in the ecosystem then our Product Management will consider to implement the desired functionality.
Best regards,
Gunther
Dear dstrunz,
Status "In Use" means practically "Partially redeemed". So let's say the gift card amount is EUR 100. And the gift card is used for the first time as a payment method of EUR 20. At this point in time the status updates from "Not redeemed" to "In Use". It keeps this status until fully redeemed. Then this is the end of the gift card life cycle and the status updates to "Redeemed" (unless Topups are enabled - then status remains "In Use").
Using the same gift card in two CCO stations at the same time is not a problem if the CCO manager is "online". It should then be impossible to redeem more than the gift card balance.
Kind regards,
Gunther

Hello gunther.sandtner2,
thank you very much for your quick response. I understand now the status "In Use". But one question more, in case there are two CCO POS or CCO POS and a another external system like WebShop which use both the same voucher in a different receipt during the sales process.
Is it possible to block a voucher for a Transaction or for choosing?
Like in case of my Screenshot: The Status of the voucher could be "Pending in use" and no other Transaction from a WebShop or other CCO POS would be allowed with this voucher. The voucher should be not useable if some use this voucher in his shopping cart.
Hope you got me. 🙂

Thank you very much and best regards, Daniela
