Hi @ anitha.a.mathew

I confirm that the view-in-browser-link is working until the campaign is ended. Unfortunately, the documentation is not mentioning that the link expires. I will check to get an adjustment in our future releases.

Best Regards

anitha.a.mathew I did some more research and I would like to correct the provided response with more details.

- If campaign is in status Stopped, the view link in browser will be disabled and no be available.

- If the campaign is in Finished status, the view link in browser will be disabled 180 days after the execution date of the related action, which can be viewed in the log.

I hope this clarifies the behavior. I will make a note to improve the documentation of this behavior.

Hi Isabelle,

meanwhile it is documented in the documentation that the view in browser-links are valid only 180 days.
See: https://help.sap.com/viewer/b88f770e4b7c4ecead5477e7a6c7b8f7/2102.500/en-US/e04d27551ae78b43e1000000...

We are wondering why this is limited at all. Because we have the same limitation in the scenario "Sales Insights on Marketing Campaigns"
When clicking the link for an email-interaction that is older than 180 days in the contact in SAP Sales Cloud we don't get the email.
With regards to a 360 view on marketing data from sales this is really a bad limitation. Because for a sales manager it could be relevant to see what exact marketing-email was sent to a specific contact in the last years.

Kind regards

Danny

Hi Danny,

Yes, I had requested to update our online documentation to be clear.

The view in browser functionality is not for reporting. The fact that the view in browser is no longer available after 6 months doesn't mean that you cannot know which content was used in a campaign. We have CDS views that are released for this purpose. Data volume must be managed to ensure performance and scalability.

Hi anitha.a.mathew,

Can you confirm those are the mails sent from a campaign with period x-y? (e.g. 01 May - 31 June)

As per my knowledge, the View in Browser preview Link will expire based on that.

Thank you.

Hi Anitha,

never tried that before but I searched for an email that is now over 18 months old and can confirm that behavior.

Never read anything about expiry period for that links, so hopefully someone from SAP can clarify.
