Validation error while trying to edit component via SmartEdit

Getting following error while trying to save the edited component using smart edit.

INFO [hybrisHTTP33] [RestHandlerExceptionResolver] Translating exception [de.hybris.platform.webservicescommons.errors.exceptions.WebserviceValidationException]: Validation error

How can I solve this issue?

Hi, The version we are using was the earlier version of smart edit that doesn't have the front end validations for the mandatory attributes for the components. By filling all the mandatory attributes it solved the issue.
