Using Existing Account - Lead Creation

Hi Team,

I have one question. If we are creating lead from backend through web service for existing account. Do we have to pass UseExistingAccount Flag too. if we don't pass will it create Lead with inactive account.

Actually our leads are getting created with inactive account even though IC exists in the system.

Yes you observation is correct, the Indicator/flag for UseExistingAccount needs to be set and in addition to this , you can also enable duplicate check for Mass Upload to prevent creation such that the system prevents duplicate Leads , if there if there is already an exisitng data .

This can be done under , Lead Duplicate check activity and you can select the relevant indicators under the section Duplicate Check for Mass Import

Thank you for your prompt reply.

In our case multiple leads can be created to for same individual customer. As we are using different web service and it seems like UsingExisitngAccount indicator not available in it. is there any way we can enable this from sdk or at BO level .

You can now call custom logic to calculate duplicates for accounts and individual customers. Implement CheckForDuplicateAccounts (Name: PDI BADI DUPLICATE CHECK FOR ACCOUNTS) Business Add-In (BAdI) in the SAP Cloud Application Studio to add the custom logic.
