Dear SAP community,
we created a user role to restrict the available accounts / contacts. Only users who are assigned to a specific marketing area should be able to see the accounts / contacts which have a assignment to that marketing area.
Now I tried out what the user is able to see, if there is a restriction in read / write based on a chosen marketing area. The visibility of accounts / contacts works very well, the user with assigned and restricted user role is only able to see a small amount of both business objects in applications "Spotlighting Accounts" and "Contacts".
But this doesn´t work for segmentation. If the user opens or created a segmentation modell, he is also able to see all contacts / accounts which are in the system.
Is there a opportunity to restrict the accounts / contacts within the segmentation modelling too?
Thanks in advance,
Lukas

Hi Lukas,
for that case you can build an own Segmentation Profile. In the Segmentation Profile you can add a Filter for the specific Marketing Area. In the Restrictions of your role you can then use maintain the newly created Segmentation Profile.
Hope that should solve your problem.

Good morning schneidert ,
thanks for your answer. I think that would be a solution, but if we work with several marketing areas we do have to create several segmentation profiles with filters again and again.
Is that the only possible solution in the system?
Thanks,
Lukas
