Updating Sales Order

Hello Experts,

I tried to update the field "Net Amount" in an existing Sales order using "Data Workbench" and also i tried the update with a web service but the error was that the data is protected in writing.
Is it possible to update the Total price of the sales order item ?

In Sales Order net value is always value before tax, it means the condition type determined before tax condition will be considered in sales order Net Value. ,so updating the value directly is write protected as it is a calculated field, dependent on other price elemnts.
