Hi Mates,

Good day!.

We have a requirement to update few selected standard and custom (KUT) fields data in few standard workcenters in C4C. Few WCs are like has large volume of data like accounts, Opportunities, (aprx > 4M each) etc.,

Usually, the data would be in Excel(s).

What would be the best and faster approach in C4C to load and update the data in production, as it is already well utilizing system by users and can't ask them to stop accessing it for couple of working days. We required and prefer to go only one weekend to complete the update.

Thanks in advance.

Rgs,

Chandra

Hi Chandra,

I would advise you to use the data work bench. Make exports of data and select only the relevant fields.

Use the export files to do the import after they have been filled with the required data.

And indeed you can do the import during a weekend.

I don't know how much data you have to upload, but via an incident you can ask SAP to increase the capacity a bit, so that you will be able to finish before monday morning.

I would advise you to de the update also in test so that you know how much time each object will take.

Hi MJ,

Thanks for your suggestion. We have approximately 4-5 Million data to be loaded (updated) in C4C.

Can you please suggest me if any other approach other than Data Workbench?

Chandra

Hi Chandra,

Data Workbench is the recommend tool in C4C to mass update, create, data.

If you have a huge set of records, you can divide the records to 100k (1 lakh) records per task and start updating.

Palani.
