TimeOut Exception while export to excel download

Hi,

We are written the custom code for Export to excel for download.

we are getting timeout exception after the request 5 minutes exceeds . it is fine upto 12k records to download the data in the excel format. but if the time exceeds the 5 minutes then it will give the timeout exception.

Please let me know how to increase the request connection in order to avoid the timeout exception.

any pointers on this ?

Does your code use multithreading?

we were implemented the custom code to write a data into excel sheet.
