Hi!
I have noticed that there is no Marketing Area for Product Hierarchies and Product Categories and don't know how to solve my problem.
We have two businesses that have the same products but use different product categories. Now we divide data on business units by Marketing Area. And accordingly, now the product has two marketing areas so that it is visible to users from different business units.
However, now I need to add an hierarchy and categories to products that only applies to one business unit. How can I do it?
I do not want to duplicate products for each business unit and prescribe different categories and hierarchies for each version of the products. Are there any other solutions?

Hi Anna,
You can assign one single product P1, which belongs to two different business units two two different product categories and hierarchies, each related to one category of the two business units. For example, with business unit A one can use the hierarchy A and category A1 for the assigned product P1, whereas business unit B can use hiearchy B and category B1 for the product P1.
The only thing which is not there is the possibilty to restrict the user access on hierarchy and category level, but this should not be a showstopper.
BR, Josef
