The URLs of help.hybris.com pages have not been redirected to corresponding URLs of help.sap.com pages

Hi,

help.hybris.com has been migrated to help.sap.com but the links to pages from help.hybris.com have not been redirected correctly e.g. https://answers.sap.com/questions/12769974/how-to-register-my-custom-thread-after-creating-th.html?c...

How to find the links corresponding to the pages from help.hybris.com ?

After some research I was able to find the work around to find the corresponding links. The new link for https://help.hybris.com/1808/hcd/6a782448755941d5adb22b8e39664a2b.html is https://help.sap.com/viewer/d0224eca81e249cb821f2cdf45a82ace/1808/en-US/6a782448755941d5adb22b8e3966... . If you observe these two links carefully, you will find that https://help.hybris.com/1808/hcd has been replaced with https://help.sap.com/viewer/d0224eca81e249cb821f2cdf45a82ace/1808/en-US and the name of the page, 6a782448755941d5adb22b8e39664a2b.html has been kept intact.

While one should be able to find the corresponding links from help.hybris.com with this workaround, SAP should ensure that the redirection issue is fixed ASAP to avoid waste of time searching for the correct link at help.sap.com .

The earlier workaround failed for some other URLs e.g. the replacement of https://help.hybris.com/1811/hcd/22f98bab81004e4fac3a507d9647e34d.html is https://help.sap.com/viewer/5c9ea0c629214e42b727bf08800d8dfa/1811/en-US/22f98bab81004e4fac3a507d9647... In this case https://help.hybris.com/1811/hcd has been replaced with https://help.sap.com/viewer/5c9ea0c629214e42b727bf08800d8dfa/1811/en-US. Surprisingly, no one from the documentation team has responded to this problem.

On further research, I found that https://help.hybris.com/1811/hcd has not been replaced with a single URL; rather, there are a bunch of URLs that have been introduced for its replacement as given below:

If you have the name of the page (e.g. 22f98bab81004e4fac3a507d9647e34d.html) available from help.hybris.com, you can use any of the above URLs to go to the page e.g. either of https://help.sap.com/viewer/b490bb4e85bc42a7aa09d513d0bcb18e/1811/en-US/22f98bab81004e4fac3a507d9647... or https://help.sap.com/viewer/4c33bf189ab9409e84e589295c36d96e/1811/en-US/22f98bab81004e4fac3a507d9647... will take you to the same page. I can also see that the help.hybris.com URLs for version 1811 (e.g. https://help.hybris.com/1811/hcd/22f98bab81004e4fac3a507d9647e34d.html) are getting redirected to the right page.

However, the bad news is that the URLs belonging to version 1808 (e.g. https://help.hybris.com/1808/hcd/8c6a38118669101481bdf1303d70949e.html) have still not been redirected to the correct URL. Therefore clicking on the link, this help page from the page, https://www.sap.com/cxworks/article/432582396/Catalog_Synchronization shows: Sorry, we can't find the page you're looking for.

It is causing too much inconvenience. SAP should look into it ASAP.

Hi Arvind,

We are investigating this with top priority. I apologize for the delay in responding. I didn't receive a notification for this issue and only became aware of it today. I sincerely apologize for not having kept a closer eye on the forums following the move to the SAP Help Portal.
