Hola Experts
I am writing to you because in the integration process between SMC and Facebook we were surprised that:
the package available in the Discover of SAP CPI for the integration indicates that it is DEPRECATED "[DEPRECATED] Facebook Page Integration with SAP Marketing Cloud"
We made this query to SAP
Is there another updated package for integration?
And this was the answer:
"Dear customer, SAP has decided to deprecate Facebook Page integration package from SAP Marketing Cloud. In the area of social monitoring, we suggest a partner solution Knoros Social Listening with extra license tag. Thanks and best regards"
This worries me, because it means a new license, it is cost to the company (client)?
Thank you for your comments
Best regards

Hi Elio,
that's correct. Since also the "Sentiment Engagement" app has been deprecated in SAP Marketing Cloud you cannot use it and the page integration doesn't make that munch sense anymore.
Check also this question with an explanation of SAP colleague Sahalya Begum: https://answers.sap.com/questions/13005626/sentiment-engagement-to-be-deprecated.html
Your right, that would mean additional cost for the customer.
Maybe you could open an improvement request (if there isn't any) to request for a better replacement without any additional costs. Would surely get my vote!

Hi eliocentenob,
that's not completely true.
You can still create or assign Facebook Campaigns from MC Campaigns and handover target groups as custom audience from SAP Marketing Cloud to FB as described in the process here: https://help.sap.com/viewer/b88f770e4b7c4ecead5477e7a6c7b8f7/2105.500/en-US/3ee1965653691e5ee1000000...
But you cannot load facebook posts and comments to SAP Marketing Cloud anymore and analyze the sentiment there. That's the part the integration package was used for and which has been set to deprecated.
Until now I've never used Khoros, so unfortunately I'm not able to say anything about it.

Hello Tobias Schneider
I checked the documentation that you send me and if I have more or less clear what steps must be done from SMC to have the SMC - CPI integration.
But from CPI to Facebook is where the activity is complicated: When deploying the package (Packages) in CPI: [DEPRECATED] Facebook Page Integration with SAP Marketing Cloud. It is not displayed or does not have iflow available to configure it.
I understand that the communication between SMC and CPI is established in the communication agreement but: I am not sure how the integration between CPI and Facebook would be done.
Does a custom iflow developer have to use a connection mechanism (Odata, Ws .. etc ...)?

Best regards
Elio C
