The Integration of SAP Marketing Cloud 2011 with SAP Analytics Cloud embedded edition

What's new in integration SAP Marketing Cloud 2011 with SAP Analytics Cloud embedded edition? The integration of SAP Marketing Cloud with SAP Analytics Cloud has been also configured in early releases of SAP Marketing Cloud.

Dear all,

For new customers that have acquired SAP Marketing Cloud as of 2011, with our new pricing model, SAP Analytics Cloud, embedded edition is part of the license.

SAP Analytics Cloud, embedded edition cannot be used for customers that already have acquired SAP Marketing Cloud before 2011. In this case, SAP Analytics Cloud is available and must be setup with manual integration.

With SAP Analytics Cloud, embedded edition, the integration with SAP Marketing Cloud is done automatically out of the box, which is not case with SAP Analytics Cloud that needs to be integrated manually, as per our integration guide. That’s the main difference.

In addition, custom analytical stories for SAP Analytics Cloud, embedded edition are created directly in SAP Marketing Cloud through a new app called Marketing Custom Stories. Details in our online documentation. Custom stories for SAP Analytics Cloud are created in SAP Analytics Cloud. Details also in our online documentation.

SAP pre-delivers analytical stories. Our online documentation for each analytical stories identifies if a story is available for SAP Analytics Cloud, embedded edition. We planned to deliver the same set of stories for SAP Analytics Cloud, embedded edition as we do for SAP Analytics Cloud in future releases.

For customers who already have SAP Analytics Cloud with SAP Marketing Cloud, it is not possible to use SAP Analytics Cloud, embedded edition. However, the functionality is not really different between the two. The main difference is on a simplified setup as described abovew and where the custom stories are created.

Hello,

Before 2011, you have to always integrate your SAC with SMC using the manual procedure(irrespective of if you use your bundled SAC or standalone SAC with SMC).

Now with 2011, SAP Provides an automatic integration of SAC with SMC (for Biundled SAC Tenant) where SAP Analytics Cloud, embedded edition is automatically integrated and set up for the use with SAP Marketing Cloud. No more need to maintain SAP_COM_0065 if you use this. SAP does it for you.

@ manigwa.witenkate , yes we know from the What's New list "SAP Marketing Cloud is now integrated with SAP Analytics Cloud, embedded edition."

But what is actually new about this? What new reports or analytics does this new integration bring?
