Hi all,
When we executed system update in production it took more than 7.5 hours to finish. It took almost 7 hours to create/update schema and just 5-6 mins to create essential/project data.We had 20 new attributes in Order and 5 new attributes in PaymentInfo along with 1 new index. But on an average MySql database was taking around 10-15 minutes to add a new column into "orders" table and 30 mins in "paymentinfos". Creating a new index was quite fast compared to adding a new column. For other tables it was not taking more than 1-2 mins to add a new column.
MySql sever CPU utilization and memory usage was absolutly normal. And also we haven't seen such kind of system update performance in our recent production releases and in any of the lower environments like PPE or IST.
Hybris version - 5.7.14 Database - Mysql Table sizes before system update - orders - 25 GB paymentinfos - 7.5 GB
With same kind of items.xml changes, system update was very quick in lower environments (may be because of data volume). So, is it something expected behavior in production system with such a huge volume of data in tables or something else ? Has anyone faced such kind of slowness in system update ? If yes,is there any way to speed up system update in these kind of situations?
Any inputs are appreciated. Thanks in advanced.
BR, Tejas
