Hello everybody,
we have one IP with 2 different domains for our Marketing Cloud.
We have already warmed up one domain from the IP and regularly record it with approx. 10 000 mails per month.
Now we are implementing a new Marketing Area with the 2nd domain in the Marketing Cloud. From this 2nd domain about 50 000 mails are sent per month.
The send volume within one month will increase strongly for our IP.
My question now is, do we have to do a 2nd IP warming because of the big increase, so that our IP doesn't get any damage?
Or can we just do the new shipment without worries?
Best Regards
Lisa

Dear Lisa,
You should treat a new domain as a new IP address by creating a warm up plan similarly to the one you have done for the first domain already ramped up. Also due to the high volume you should consider the step by step approach instead of sending all emails on the first time.
Best regards,
Carole

Dear Carole,
I ask myself, when I create the groups for IP warming, how do I know how many contacts I can write per day so that there are not too many and I overwrite a maximum which blocks my IP?
So I would like an overview or some guide values with which I plan my IP Warming correctly to carry out a successful warmup.
Best regards,
Lisa

Their is no unique answer to this question, it is really depending on several aspects. We are sharing our best practices through the following article: E-mail Marketing - Trust with a Solid Warm-up Plan, you will also find an email template warm-up attached.
