Status history not saved on JCDS when updating through CIC0

Hello,

When running transaction CIC0 I change the status of the document to "first response received" and hit save. An entry is successfully created on table JCDS showing the status history change. If instead I clicked "first response received" and then "work in progress" and then hit save only the "work in progress" status appears.

This has only happened since an upgrade to HANA from ECC6. Do we know is this change was intentional? I can't find any documentation which describes this. I don't really want to change SAP standard functionality in order to get this status change history correct. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It appears that function module STATUS_UPDATE is what populates JEST/JCDS but like I say I don't really want to change standard code.

Hi Russell,

please, can you make it a bit clearer? What do you exactly mean by upgrade to HANA from ECC6 - you mean migration to S/4 HANA? Because S/4 HANA does not support transaction CIC0 anymore, in our fresh installation of 1909 does not even exist. Please, check OSS note https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2229726 .

Sorry it is a HANA database upgrade. From ehp4 to ehp7.
