Speeding deployment process

Hello,

We have a SAP Commerce Cloud solution (SAP commerce ver. 2105.8) with Spartacus storefront

We create builds and deployments over SAP Commerce Cloud portal.

Can we decrease deployment time? Can we somehow influence this deployment process?

We currently use the recreate mode and migration data setting when deploying

Hi Patrik!

Try with these ones:

• as per https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_COMMERCE_CLOUD_PUBLIC_CLOUD/0fa6bcf4736c46f78c248512391eb467/16a4fd7c4... the mode "Migrate data" execute the command "ant updatesystem" and updates the database -> Use it when you need to change the data model. The deployment is faster without data migration so if you change a .js or a .java it is not necessary.

• stop the "Storefront" service if you don't use the accelerators

• exclude all unused extensions from localextensions.xml

Hi Alessandro,

in development and staging environment we use mode: 'no migration' mostly.

In production, just the opposite mode: 'migrate data' in most cases.

In this case: (production with recreate and migrate data) is deployment time around 25 minutes

The most important is decrease deployment time in production environment for us

I would like to know, if there is anything other than these settings, that can affect the deployment time
